Travel Birds Terms & Conditions

Travel Birds is Travel Care's rewards programme. When you travel with us you can receive TRAVEL tokens, a digital token that lives on the BSC (BNB Smart Chain) blockchain network. Depending on how many tokens you hold and how long they remain unmoved, you belong to a programme tier, represented by a bird; higher tiers may unlock better perks. You will find a full explanation of how it works on the programme page.

Participation is free and voluntary and is tied to your Travel Care account. The programme is offered by the company operating Travel Care; you can find all of the company's identifying details in our Legal Notice.

Travel Birds is a loyalty programme: it is not a payment account, a deposit, or a savings or investment product. TRAVEL tokens are not electronic money and do not, by themselves, entitle you to any particular amount in euros.

So that you can take part without any technical knowledge, Travel Care creates and manages your Travel Birds ID for you: an address on the BSC network linked exclusively to your account, where your TRAVEL tokens are credited. You do not need to install anything or handle keys: you can view it in the My Travel Bird section of your account.

Access to your Travel Birds ID is tied to the security of your Travel Care account (your email and, if you enable it, two-step verification). Keep your account safe: operations carried out from it will be treated as made by you.

If you prefer, you can switch from the Travel Birds ID mode to your own wallet and manage your tokens directly (see the section Your own wallet).

With certain bookings you can receive a reward in TRAVEL tokens. Rewards are discretionary: Travel Care decides which bookings are eligible and how many tokens are granted in each case. The amount may depend on the booking and on your tier in the programme, and may change over time; there is no guaranteed or pre-committed amount.

• As a general rule, rewards are granted on confirmed and paid bookings and may require prior validation on our side before being credited.
• If a booking is cancelled, refunded or turns out to be fraudulent, the associated reward may not be granted, or may be withdrawn before it is credited.
• Rewards cannot be transferred to other accounts and cannot be exchanged for cash.

You can redeem your TRAVEL tokens as a discount on new Travel Care bookings. At the moment of redemption we show you how many tokens you are about to use and the exact discount you get in your currency, calculated with the valuation in force at that instant. The valuation may change from one moment to the next; the one that counts is the one you accept when confirming the redemption.

The discount is applied to the booking price and is reflected in your confirmation. The redeemed tokens are deducted from your balance at the moment of redemption.

Redeeming tokens is a final discount. Once applied to a booking, the tokens used are not returned:

• not when the booking is enjoyed as planned;
• and not if the booking is later cancelled, even where cancellation is free of charge.

Any refund due under the cancellation policy relates only to the amounts of money actually paid, in accordance with our general Terms & Conditions; the discount obtained with tokens is neither converted into money nor restored in tokens. Please bear this in mind before redeeming.

If you prefer to manage your tokens directly, you can switch from the Travel Birds ID mode to your own wallet. To do so you will need to prove that the address belongs to you by signing a message with your wallet (for example, via Metamask). We will never ask you for your private keys.

Using your own wallet is at your sole responsibility: Travel Care cannot recover your keys, reverse transactions or access your wallet. If you lose access to your wallet, you lose access to the tokens it holds.

Please note that your programme tier is calculated from the tokens you hold and how long they remain unmoved: moving tokens resets the tier clock. This also applies when switching modes, redeeming and transferring.

You can transfer TRAVEL tokens from your Travel Birds ID to another address on the BSC network. For security, transfers require two-step verification to be enabled and the operation to be confirmed with a code we send you by email, in addition to the code from your authenticator app (or a recovery code).

Transfers are executed on the blockchain and are irreversible: check the destination address carefully before confirming. Travel Care cannot recover tokens sent to a wrong address. Execution may take some time depending on network conditions, and the operation may reset your tier clock (see the previous section).

Before taking part, keep these risks in mind:

• Volatility. The value of the TRAVEL token can rise or fall significantly, and may even lose all of its value. The valuation applied to one redemption does not guarantee future valuations.
• Blockchain networks. Operations depend on public networks outside Travel Care's control, which may suffer congestion, failures or protocol changes.
• Not an investment. Travel Birds is a loyalty programme. It is not an investment product, an offer of financial services, or financial or tax advice. Do not take part expecting a return.
• Tax. Any tax obligations arising from receiving, redeeming or transferring tokens are your responsibility; consult an adviser if in doubt.

We may modify these terms and the features of the programme (tiers, thresholds, reward mechanics), and even suspend or end it, for legal, technical or operational reasons. Significant changes will be announced with reasonable prior notice, and we will always publish the current version with its revision date.

Changes do not affect tokens already credited to your address: they are yours and remain on the blockchain. For anything not covered here, our general Terms & Conditions apply, including governing law and jurisdiction.
